Over the Edge

Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Over the Edge' merges concise punk aggression with some of Greg Sage's most memorable, pop-indebted song structures, defined by a mood of tightly wound tension. The album's distinct sound is characterized by dense, heavy guitar work set against a unique, trebly production style that famously lacks significant low-end, making the immediate hooks feel strangely distant. Striking a balance between the sprawling explorations of its predecessor, 'Youth of America', and a more direct punk fury, the record solidified its legacy as a foundational and highly influential work in American alternative rock.
