Hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 156/Silence is a metalcore band that formed in 2015, known for a volatile sound that blends post-hardcore, mathcore, and noise elements. The band established its chaotic and emotionally charged style with early releases before signing to #SharpTone Records# for the albums 'Irrational Pull' (2020) and 'Narrative' (2022). Their sound is characterized by jagged riffs, dissonant arrangements, and intense lyrical themes of anxiety and grief. After the tragic passing of bassist Lukas Booker in 2025, the band continued, signing with #Pure Noise Records# and evolving their sound to incorporate more melodic hooks without sacrificing their signature heaviness on subsequent work.
