Biography
New Orleans duo Belong, formed in 2002 by Turk Dietrich and Michael Jones, sculpt guitars and synthesizers into slow, saturated waves of ambient noise. Their debut 'October Language' appeared on #Carpark Records# in 2006, followed by the more rhythmic 'Common Era' on #Kranky# in 2011 and 'Realistic IX' in 2024. The music balances beauty and decay, melody and erosion, and remains a touchstone of American drone and shoegaze influenced experimental music.
