Biography
Los Angeles punk pranksters Black Randy and the Metrosquad formed in 1977, pairing singer Black Randy with keyboard player and musical director David Brown. As the house band of #Dangerhouse Records#, which Brown and guitarist Pat Garrett helped found, they released a run of singles and EPs before their only studio album, 'Pass the Dust, I Think I'm Bowie' (1979), a funk and soul laced punk record with strikingly sophisticated arrangements. The group split in 1982.
