Biography
Brainstorm was a German jazz-rock band from Baden-Baden, active under that name from 1972 to about 1975. Evolved from the school band Fashion Pink, the quartet of Roland Schaeffer, Eddy von Overheidt, Rainer Bodensohn and Jo Koinzer signed to #Spiegelei# and released two albums of intricate, Zappa-influenced progressive jazz-rock, 'Smile a While' (1972) and 'Second Smile' (1973). The band split after its key members departed in 1974, and Schaeffer later joined *Guru Guru*.
