Biography
British jazz fusion band formed in London in 1975 by John Goodsall, Percy Jones, Robin Lumley and Phil Collins. Brand X's intricate, fretless-bass-led fusion produced 'Unorthodox Behaviour', 'Moroccan Roll' and 'Masques'; after an early-1980s split, Goodsall and Jones revived the band in the 1990s and again in 2016. Goodsall's death in 2021 brought it to a close. Their records remain benchmarks of British fusion.
