Biography
Bronx hip-hop duo formed in 1995, comprising rappers Sonny Cheeba and Geechi Suede. Camp Lo paired an invented, luxury-obsessed slang with jazz- and funk-flavoured production by *Ski Beatz* on their 1997 debut 'Uptown Saturday Night', home to the hit 'Luchini AKA This Is It'. The duo has remained active with a steady run of later albums. Their later work has kept the duo's ornate slang and laid-back, cinematic atmosphere remarkably intact.
