Biography
Carly Rae Jepsen is a Canadian singer-songwriter who evolved from a reality show contestant into a critically revered pop icon. She achieved global fame with the Diamond-certified viral hit "Call Me Maybe" from her album 'Kiss', released via #Schoolboy Records# and #Interscope Records#. Rather than chase trends, she pivoted to a sophisticated, 80s-inspired synth-pop sound with her landmark 2015 album 'Emotion'. This record, while a modest seller, was a critical triumph that cemented her status as a cult favorite, praised for its earnest songwriting and immaculate production. She continues to be a leading figure in indie-leaning pop, celebrated for her breathy vocals and heartfelt explorations of love.
