CHAI

Biography

CHAI were a four-piece pop band from Nagoya, Japan, formed in 2012 by twins Mana and Kana with Yuuki and Yuna. Champions of 'neo kawaii', a redefinition of cuteness embracing everyone's insecurities, they mixed punk, disco, hip-hop and synth-pop across the albums 'PINK', 'PUNK', 'WINK' and 'CHAI' before disbanding in 2024 after a farewell Japanese tour. Their albums reached international audiences through releases on #Sub Pop# and #Burger Records#.
