Biography
Chumbawamba was an English band formed in Burnley in 1982, growing out of the anarcho-punk movement. A rotating collective mixing punk, pop and folk with anarchist politics, it spent a decade as a cult act before the worldwide hit 'Tubthumping' (1997). The band wound down its later years playing folk and a cappella music and split in 2012, after thirty years together.
