Cro-Mags

Formed in New York City in 1981 by bassist Harley Flanagan, the Cro-Mags are an influential American hardcore punk band. They pioneered the fusion of hardcore punk with thrash metal, helping to spearhead the legendary 1980s New York Hardcore (NYHC) movement. Cro-Mags bridged the gap between raw, street-level punk energy and the complex, driving riffs of crossover thrash. Their themes touched on urban violence, street survival, animal liberation, and Hare Krishna consciousness.
