Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Before the Quarrel' gave official release to the thirteen-track demo the Cro-Mags recorded in 1985, a foundational hardcore punk document. The demo lineup of Harley Flanagan, John Joseph, Parris Mayhew and fifteen-year-old drummer Mackie Jayson cut the songs in raw, fast form, with gang vocals and distorted minimalism, before they were re-recorded the following year for 'The Age of Quarrel'.
