Biography
Earth and Fire were a Dutch progressive rock band formed in The Hague in 1968 by brothers Gerard and Chris Koerts and fronted from 1969 by singer Jerney Kaagman. Albums such as 'Song of the Marching Children' and 'Atlantis' made them Dutch prog pioneers, and the later pop single 'Weekend' was a European hit in 1979. The band folded in 1983 and briefly revived before ending in 1990.
