Biography
Eddy Current Suppression Ring is a seminal Australian garage punk band that formed in Melbourne in 2003. Known for their raw, minimalist sound and frenetic live energy, the quartet crafts anxiety-ridden rock and roll with a distinctly Australian character. Their breakthrough second album, 'Primary Colours' (2008), won the prestigious Australian Music Prize, cementing their status as cult heroes and influential figures in the country's independent music scene. Despite their critical acclaim and a devoted following, the band has maintained a staunchly DIY ethos, recording albums in a matter of hours and taking long hiatuses, returning in 2019 with 'All in Good Time' on the #Castle Face# label.
