Biography
Elephant9 is an Oslo progressive jazz-rock trio formed in 2006 by St氓le Storl酶kken on keyboards, Nikolai H忙ngsle Eilertsen on bass and Torstein Lofthus on drums. Their Hammond-led albums for #Rune Grammofon#, from 'Dodovoodoo' to 'Mythical River', fuse 1970s fusion and hard rock in structured improvisation, sometimes expanded by collaborators such as *Reine Fiske* and *Terje Rypdal*. Their live shows extend the studio material into powerful, unpredictable improvisation that never repeats itself exactly the same way.
