Biography
English progressive rock quartet formed in London in 1971 by ex-*Yes* guitarist Peter Banks, singer Colin Carter, bassist Ray Bennett and drummer Mike Hough. Flash released three albums for #Sovereign Records# and #Capitol Records#, 'Flash' and 'In the Can' in 1972 and 'Out of Our Hands' in 1973, and scored an American hit with 'Small Beginnings'. Their music favoured long multi-part songs, harmony singing and Banks's distinctive guitar. The band split in 1973; Bennett and Carter revived the name from 2010 to 2013.
