Biography
Freedom was an English psychedelic and blues-rock band formed in London in 1967 by ex-*Procol Harum* members Bobby Harrison (drums, vocals) and Ray Royer (guitar). After a psychedelic first incarnation that recorded the 'Black on White' film soundtrack, Harrison rebuilt the group with Roger Saunders and Walt Monaghan as a heavy blues-rock trio, releasing 'Freedom at Last' and 'Freedom' in 1970. With Peter Dennis on bass, the band closed with 'Through the Years' (1971) and 'Is More Than a Word' (1972) before splitting in 1972.
