Biography
Detroit hard rock band Frijid Pink formed in 1967 from the Detroit Vibrations, built around drummer Rick Stevers and bassist Tom Harris. Their distorted cover of 'House of the Rising Sun' was a million selling top ten hit in 1970, and the albums 'Frijid Pink' and 'Defrosted' made them fixtures of the Detroit scene alongside *MC5* and *The Stooges*. After singer Kelly Green and guitarist Gary Ray Thompson left, a new line up recorded 'Earth Omen' in 1972 and 'All Pink Inside' in 1974. Stevers has kept the band going in later decades.
