Biography
The George Adams & Don Pullen Quartet (1979–1988) united two *Charles Mingus* alumni — saxophonist George Adams and pianist Don Pullen — with Cameron Brown and Dannie Richmond in one of the era's great working bands. Their albums for #Timeless# and #Blue Note#, from 'Earth Beams' to 'Song Everlasting', fused gospel fervour, blues and free jazz until Richmond's death ended the group.
