Biography
Los Angeles singer, songwriter and producer Georgia Anne Muldrow grew up surrounded by avant garde jazz, the daughter of guitarist Ronald Muldrow and vocalist Rickie Byars. She became the first woman signed to #Stones Throw Records#, where her debut 'Olesi: Fragments of an Earth' (2006) announced an off centre fusion of neo soul, hip hop and jazz. Prolific and fiercely independent, she co founded #SomeOthaShip Connect#, recorded 'Seeds' (2012) with *Madlib* and the Grammy nominated 'Overload' (2018), and also records jazz under the name Jyoti, singing and producing most of her own work herself.
