Biography
Giacomo Puccini (1858–1924) was an Italian opera composer from Lucca. After 'Manon Lescaut' (1893) he wrote three of the most durable operas ever staged: 'La Bohème' (1896), 'Tosca' (1900) and 'Madama Butterfly' (1904). His final opera, 'Turandot', was left unfinished when he died in Brussels in 1924. His operas, published by #Ricordi#, remain the backbone of the international operatic repertoire.
