Biography
The Heartbreakers were a New York punk band formed in 1975 by Johnny Thunders and Jerry Nolan of the *New York Dolls*, with Walter Lure and Billy Rath completing the classic lineup. Their sole studio album 'L.A.M.F.' (1977), recorded in London for #Track Records#, is a cornerstone of first-wave punk, despite a notoriously poor original mix. The band played sporadic reunion shows until Thunders died in 1991.
