Biography
Johnny Thunders, born John Genzale in Queens, was the guitarist and co-founder of the New York Dolls and later the Heartbreakers of 'L.A.M.F.' (1977) fame. His solo classic 'So Alone' (1978) outshone a chaotic later career of reunions and one-off bands. He died in a New Orleans hotel room in 1991, aged 38, in circumstances never fully explained.
