Biography
Hen Ogledd is a British quartet named after the Welsh term for the Old North. It began in 2012 as a duo of folk singer Richard Dawson and harpist Rhodri Davies, then grew with singer Dawn Bothwell and singer and keyboard player Sally Pilkington. Early improvised work gave way to the electronic art pop of 'Mogic' in 2018 and the double album 'Free Humans' in 2020, both mixing folk roots with science fiction themes and surreal humour. The band returned in 2026 with 'Discombobulated'.
