Biography
If were a British jazz rock band formed in London in 1969 by Dick Morrissey, Dave Quincy and Terry Smith. Their classic seven piece lineup released four albums for #Island Records# between 1970 and 1972 and toured Europe and North America intensively. After that lineup broke up, Morrissey led two further lineups through 'Double Diamond' and two rock albums before a 1975 split. Founders Quincy and Smith revived the name in 2015 for the album 'If 5' (2016).
