Biography
New York studio project Inner Life, formed in 1979, paired producers Patrick Adams and Greg Carmichael with singer Jocelyn Brown, the project's defining voice. Their disco and boogie recordings moved from #Prelude Records# to #Salsoul Records#, yielding 'I'm Caught Up (In a One Night Love Affair)', a *Larry Levan*-remixed 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough' on 'Inner Life' (1981), and 'Moment of My Life' on 'Inner Life II' (1982). A rotating cast of session musicians, rather than a fixed band, played behind the core trio.
