Biography
Jake Xerxes Fussell, born in Columbus, Georgia in 1981, is an American singer and guitarist raised inside Southern folk culture by his folklorist father and apprenticed to blues singer Precious Bryant. His albums for #Paradise of Bachelors# and #Fat Possum Records# reinterpret traditional folk and blues songs with fingerstyle guitar and an unhurried baritone. He treats the old songs as living material, never as museum pieces.
