Juicy J is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer from Memphis, Tennessee, best known as a founding member of the pioneering Southern hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia. Along with *DJ Paul*, he was an architect of the crunk and horrorcore subgenres, blending dark, heavy beats with energetic lyrics. The group achieved mainstream success and won an Academy Award for "It's Hard out Here for a Pimp." Transitioning to a successful solo career, he signed with *Wiz Khalifa*'s #Taylor Gang# imprint, releasing the platinum-selling album 'Stay Trippy' which featured the hit single "Bandz a Make Her Dance."
