Kath Bloom & Loren Mazzacane
Biography
Kath Bloom & Loren Mazzacane paired Connecticut songwriter Kath Bloom with guitarist Loren Connors in New Haven around 1980. Their self-released albums, including 'Restless Faithful Desperate', set Bloom's fragile folk songs against Connors's raw electric improvisation. Little heard at the time, the records were later reissued and recognised as outsider-folk landmarks; Bloom's 'Come Here' appeared in 'Before Sunrise'. Both musicians went on to long, separate careers after the duo ended.
