Biography
English psychedelic rock band formed in London in 1995 around Crispian Mills, Alonza Bevan, Jay Darlington and Paul Winterhart. Kula Shaker fused Britpop with 1960s psychedelia and Indian music on the hit debut 'K' in 1996, split in 1999, reformed in 2004, and continue with the founding line-up restored after Darlington's return in 2022. Sanskrit chants, sitars and Hammond organ remain trademarks of their colourful, spiritually minded rock sound on stage.
