Biography
Lawrence English is an Australian composer and media artist from Brisbane, Queensland, who founded the experimental label #Room40# in 2000. His solo records, from 'Kiri no oto' through 'The Peregrine' and 'Wilderness of Mirrors', build immersive drone and field-recording works about perception, place and memory, and he collaborates widely, including with *William Basinski* and *Alessandro Cortini*, alongside installations, writing and curating.
