Biography
Lightwave is a French electronic duo of Christian Wittman and Christoph Harbonnier, formed in Paris in 1985 and joined on key records by *Paul Haslinger*. Working with analogue and digital synthesizers, they build long, climate-like instrumental pieces that cross ambient, Berlin School and electroacoustic music. Their best known albums are 'Nachtmusik' (1990), 'Tycho Brah茅' and 'Mundus Subterraneus' (1995), the last a subterranean concept work inspired by Athanasius Kircher. The stored texts also described an unrelated British pop-metal act of the same name, which is not this group.
