Biography
Locomotiv GT (LGT) was one of Hungary's defining rock bands, formed in Budapest in 1971 around keyboardist Gábor Presser. Moving from progressive rock to funk-tinged stadium rock, the classic line-up of Presser, Tamás Somló, János Karácsony and János Solti recorded a string of landmark Hungarian albums and toured the West before winding down after Somló's death in 2016. Their albums remain staples of Hungarian rock history and are still widely celebrated at home.
