Biography

Formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1997, Los Hermanos became one of the most influential Brazilian alternative rock bands of their generation. Initially breaking out with the ska-pop mega-hit "Anna Julia" in 1999, the band鈥攍ed by songwriters Marcelo Camelo and Rodrigo Amarante鈥攓uickly pivoted to a more sophisticated sound. They masterfully blended indie rock with traditional samba, MPB, and melancholic brass arrangements. Albums like Bloco do Eu Sozinho and Ventura achieved legendary status.
