Biography
Lowlife were a Scottish post-punk band from Grangemouth, formed from the earlier band Dead Neighbours and active from 1985 to 1997. Vocalist Craig Lorentson and bassist Will Heggie, formerly of *Cocteau Twins*, led the group through five studio albums on #Nightshift Records#, including 'Permanent Sleep' and the acclaimed 'Diminuendo'. Their bass-driven, atmospheric sound earned a lasting cult following despite little mainstream success. The band split quietly in 1997; Lorentson died in 2010.
