Biography
Lula C么rtes was a Recife musician and painter at the heart of Brazil's Udigrudi psychedelic underground. His duo *Satwa* released Brazil's first private-press LP in 1973, and his 1975 double album 'Pa锚bir煤', made with *Z茅 Ramalho*, became one of the most mythologised Brazilian records after most copies were destroyed. Later solo albums including 'Rosa de Sangue' and 'O Gosto Novo da Vida' sustained a career mixing psychedelic rock, folk and Northeastern Brazilian traditions until his death in Recife in 2011.
