Maher Shalal Hash Baz are a Japanese experimental pop band formed in 1985 by Tori Kudo, who leads a rotating cast of trained and untrained players through fragile, deliberately imperfect songs. Named after a phrase in the Book of Isaiah, the group has released records on #Geographic# and #Org Records# and holds a cult reputation in Japan and the indie underground.
