Biography
Manfred Mann Chapter Three were an English jazz-rock band formed in 1969 by Manfred Mann and Mike Hugg after the original Manfred Mann pop group split. Their two #Vertigo Records# albums of brass-led improvisation sold poorly, and the band ended in 1971 as Mann formed *Manfred Mann's Earth Band*. The records are now regarded as pioneering British jazz-rock. Both albums have since been reissued and reappraised.
