Biography
German progressive thrash band founded in 1985 by bassist and composer Ralf Hubert, who has led it ever since. The original members performed under pseudonyms because of contracts elsewhere. Mekong Delta fused thrash metal with classical music, including adaptations of *Modest Mussorgsky*, across albums such as 'The Music of Erich Zann' (1988) and 'Kaleidoscope' (1992), pioneering progressive thrash. Twelve studio albums run to 'Tales of a Future Past' (2020), with singer Martin LeMar fronting the modern line-up.
