Biography
English folk singer and guitarist born in Orpington, Kent, in 1947. Nic Jones emerged from *The Halliard* to make five solo albums of traditional ballads, culminating in 'Penguin Eggs' (1980) for #Topic Records#, his intricate fingerstyle guitar widely admired by fellow musicians. A 1982 car accident ended his recording career in its prime, though his influence on the English folk revival endures.
