Biography
Nikki Sudden (1956 to 2006) was an English singer-songwriter and guitarist, born Adrian Nicholas Godfrey in London. He co-founded the influential post-punk band Swell Maps with his brother *Epic Soundtracks*, then led the Jacobites with *Dave Kusworth* before a long solo career of ragged, romantic rock and roll records including 'Waiting on Egypt', 'Red Brocade' and 'Treasure Island'. A cult figure to the end, he died in New York City in March 2006, hours after a gig, with his final album 'The Truth Doesn't Matter' still unreleased.
