Biography

P-Model was a Japanese band led by singer and guitarist Susumu Hirasawa, active from 1979 to 1988 and again from 1991 to 2000. Formed by former members of *Mandrake*, the band was a pioneer of Japanese techno-pop, reaching number one with 'Landsale' (1980). Hirasawa remained the only constant member through many lineup revisions and shifts from new wave to experimental and industrial rock, before disbanding the group in 2000 and later reviving the concept as his solo project Kaku P-Model.
