Biography
English rock band formed in London in 1970 from *Timebox*, named after its singer Mike Patto and completed by guitarist Ollie Halsall, bassist Clive Griffiths and drummer John Halsey. Patto mixed progressive rock, jazz rock and blues on three albums for #Vertigo Records# and #Island Records#: 'Patto' (1970), 'Hold Your Fire' (1971) and 'Roll 'Em Smoke 'Em Put Another Line Out' (1972). Strong live reviews never translated into sales, a fourth album was shelved in 1973, and the band split that year.
