Pile

Biography

Pile is an American rock band that began as the solo project of Rick Maguire in Boston. Known for a sound that merges post-hardcore intensity, noise rock abrasion, and knotty indie-rock song structures, the band earned a reputation as "your favorite band's favorite band" through relentless touring and a series of acclaimed albums. After expanding to a full quartet, Pile became a flagship artist for the #Exploding in Sound Records# label, releasing influential records like 'Dripping' and 'A Hairshirt of Purpose'. The band's music is characterized by its dynamic shifts, complex arrangements, and Maguire's raw, emotive vocals, securing them a dedicated cult following within the DIY and underground music scenes.
