Biography
São Paulo hardcore band formed in November 1981 and fronted by singer João Gordo since 1983, with guitarist Jão in place since the mid-1980s. Ratos de Porão's fifteen studio albums, from the landmark 'Crucificados pelo Sistema' (1984) onward, fuse hardcore punk with thrash metal and attack Brazil's social order with undiminished fury. Drummer Boka (since 1991) and bassist Juninho (since 2004) complete the long-stable modern line-up of Brazil's most influential punk band.
