Biography
Satin Whale were a Cologne progressive rock band formed in 1971 by Thomas Brück, Gerald Dellmann and Horst Schättgen, soon joined by Dieter Roesberg. Their debut 'Desert Places' (1974) on #Brain# was voted Germany's most popular album that year, and 'Lost Mankind' and 'As a Keepsake' consolidated their symphonic, organ-led sound. Later albums moved toward pop before the band split in 1981 after 'Don't Stop the Show'.
