Biography
Schammasch are a Swiss avant-garde metal band from Basel, formed in 2009 and named after the Babylonian sun god 艩ama拧. The anonymous quartet built a ritualistic, cinematic sound across 'Contradiction', the three-disc 'Triangle' and 'Hearts of No Light', released by #Prosthetic Records#. Their music stretches black metal toward dark ambient, doom and ceremonial chant. Their concerts are staged as rituals.
