Biography

Shack are a Liverpool band built around brothers Michael Head, singer and guitarist, and John Head, guitarist, formed in 1987 after *The Pale Fountains*. Their second album 'Waterpistol', recorded in 1991, survived a studio fire and a lost master tape to become a cult classic on its 1995 release by #Marina Records#. The re-formed band reached the UK top 25 with 'H.M.S. Fable' (1999), and later made '...Here's Tom with the Weather' (2003) and '...The Corner of Miles and Gil' (2006) for #Sour Mash#. Shack reunited for live shows in 2025.
