Biography
Shearling is an American experimental rock band from Los Angeles, formed as the spiritual successor to the acclaimed noise-rock group *Sprain*. The band was founded by former *Sprain* members Alex Kent and Sylvie Simmons, who were joined by Andrew Chanover, Wesley Nelson, and later Elizabeth A. Carver. Emerging in 2024, Shearling quickly established a reputation for uncompromising and ambitious compositions. Their audacious debut album on #Mishap Records#, 'Motherfucker, I am Both: “Amen” and “Hallelujah”...', consists of a single, hour-long track that blends dissonant noise rock, neoclassical arrangements, and electroacoustic textures, cementing their status as a formidable new force in experimental music.
