Biography
Sigh is a Japanese experimental metal band from Tokyo, formed in 1989 and led throughout by Mirai Kawashima. Beginning as a black metal band with the cult debut 'Scorn Defeat' in 1993, Sigh progressively absorbed psychedelic, symphonic, progressive and traditional Japanese elements. Long-serving members have included guitarist Shinichi Ishikawa, Satoshi Fujinami and saxophonist and vocalist Dr. Mikannibal, who joined in 2007. Albums such as 'Imaginary Sonicscape', 'Heir to Despair' and 'Shiki' established the band as one of Japan's most innovative metal acts.
